We are in the final stages of monitoring our year end growth gates, some of our roofing and siding vendors had trouble supplying our member with products throughout the year. These availability situations have caused the members to look elsewhere for products to keep their customers supplied with material. One of the discussions we will be having with these vendors that fall into this category are that if we had an adequate supply, we would have easily hit our growth goals for the end of the year. I would suggest that if your business has experienced, this you have something to use in negotiating your individual EOY gates.
I would like to know if you have had to purchase any products from outside sources (2-step, friendly competitor etc.) to augment your regular flow of material from your supplier. I’m specifically talking about roofing and siding preferred vendors; I would like to know the approximate amount of material you purchased. When I have this information, it will be much easier to lobby our PV’s for the additional growth goals we would have achieved.
Could you please provide me with the following information by December 12th:
PV Vendor name
$$ amount purchased in 2023 from outside sources
I do not need to know who you purchased the material from, the aggregate volume of the group will be the number I use to negotiate the EOY goals.
