I just wanted to share a few things we're hearing about in the scammer world lately.
Email spoofing is a standard method used to deceive recipients into trusting an email sent to them. In the example below, one of our members received an email that appeared to come from Mary Haupt, but as you can see, the email address is not actually Mary. Please be cautious of all emails you receive and take time to look at the details and read the actual email address.
Also, many of us travel, so I wanted to share this warning: The TSA has reported that hackers have begun installing malware at USB ports. TSA suggests that when you’re at an airport, do not plug your phone directly into a USB port. Bring your TSA-compliant power brick or battery pack and plug it in. As always, be cautious when using public Wi-Fi.
