The NEMEON cooperative of Independent Roofing and Siding Distributors announces David O’Donnell as Vice President. In this role O’Donnell will be responsible for enhancing the value of the co-op to members through educational programs, member engagement, vendor relations, and developing regional initiatives. NEMEON introduced Dave to the membership and Preferred Vendors at their 10th annual meeting in New Orleans on February 20, 2010.

O’Donnell brings over 23 years of expertise in the roofing industry to NEMEON with a background in sales for GAF Materials Corporation and as General Manager of ABCO Wholesale Distributors in metropolitan Detroit. Most recently he served as Director of SIDA, a cooperative in the roofing and siding industry.

“Dave’s background in manufacturing, distribution and with a cooperative brings a unique perspective and understanding of our market and will enable him to assume the responsibilities of this new position with a minimum learning curve”, says Earl Ward, NEMEON’S President and CEO. “As we enter our second decade we will continue to create value and partnership for all our stakeholders by providing vision, leadership and innovative initiatives to support their needs as the industry evolves. NEMEON is a purchasing and services cooperative of over 180 independent roofing and siding distributors who service contractors and builders throughout the United States and Canada. NEMEON provides support to each member/owner in the areas of purchasing, management, information systems, strategic planning and value-added services.
